Welsh recruitment agency goes against the tide

by John Bult last modified 2008-09-24 09:52

Welsh recruitment agency Intapeople has reported excellent figures for 2008, showing a 19% growth on the previous year.

The report of the recruitment agency is not really what you expect to hear at the moment.  Doom, gloom and economic downturn are all the headlines, yet this recruitment agency are reporting nothing of the sort.

Managing director Phil Handley explains that it's the big generalist agencies who are suffering the most.  when times are tough there can actually be an increased demand for highly skilled staff, and this is what Intapeople do. They have seen a 60% increase in the demand for engineers this year and as a result will be scaling up from 27 recruitment consultants to 40, proving that success is possible in recruitment markets even when the economy is suffering.
